Yorkton sponsored a fund-raising forum for Councilor Keren Tang who ran for re-election and Jackie Liu, who ran for Councilor for the first time in the municipal election. Their campaign team was responsible to seek supporters to attend and Yorkton sponsored the full-course Chinese dinner and beverages for their supporters. All the proceeds from the patrons will be donated to their election campaign.
Since then, Yorkton has been offering the same kind of sponsorship to all councilor and mayoral candidates in the municipal election.
