Ben Lui, CEO of Yorkton hosted a luncheon reception for MPs from Ontario who came to Edmonton for the National Liberal Caucus meeting.
The MPs included Jean Yip, MP of Scarborough-Agincourt, Toronto; Al Soud, MP of Mississauga, Toronto and former Ministers, the Honorable Bardish Chagger, MP of Waterloo, Ontario etc.
Representative of Yorkton and other Chinese community leaders accompanied the MPs for a tour of Chinatown. They explained to the MPs the problem Chinatown was encountering. The tour started from visiting the history museum of Mah Society of Edmonton to strolling along 97 Street. It ended in a luncheon reception hosted by Yorkton in a restaurant at its Pacific Mall.
