Yorkton Equity Group Inc. has been actively upkeeping its social responsibility. It sponsored the “To gather Chinatown Arts Festival 2026”, by offering Pacific Mall as venue for the blooming artists to display their works on Feb 7 and 8, 2026. In addition, Yorkton also offered $1000 worth of prizes for lucky draws. This festival was organized by a few artists on a voluntary basis.
The 2-day event started each day with 6 lions that came dancing from the front door of the mall and greeted tenants from door to door, then gathered at the stage of Dynasty Century restaurant in the mall. On the first day, Janis Erwin, MLA and Anne Stevenson, City Councilor, Ben Lui, CEO and Karl Miu, Consultant made their greetings and kicked off the event. On the 2nd day, Mayor Andrew Knack, Councilor Keren Tang and Karl Miu officiated the event.
The festival had curated lineup of 45 artists, and 13 performers and workshops. The total guests that came for the two-day event was 2,400. It has been a great success.
The main goal of this sponsorship is to help bring back prosperity and vibrancy to Chinatown.
