Yorkton was the Silver Sponsor of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA) National Conference held in May 7 and 8. The first day was a networking reception featuring a BBQ Beef Cook-off by Canadian Angus Association when guests could sample different kinds of barbequed beef by members of Canadian Angus Association and casted their votes.
The national conference was held on May 8 in Chateau Lacombe Hotel. VIP guests included Chinese Consul General in Calgary, Liying Zhao, Edmonton Mayor, His Worship Mayor Andrew Knack, representatives from Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and Canadian business professionals etc. International trade experts shared their insight and experience in trading with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Mainland China.
Yorkton representatives who attended the conference included Bill Smith, Chairman, Ben Lui, CEO and Karl Miu, Consultant etc. Ben hosted a table discussion during the Round-Table Discussion session and introduced Yorkton Equity Group Inc. to the audience. Yorkton’s banner was placed in the most prominent position in both days and received much publicity and exposure.
