2026.08.07 Yorkton supported the Charity Karaoke Night hosted by the Edmonton China Garden Society, with the purpose of raising funds for the construction of a Moon Gate Wall at the Chinese Garden in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, Edmonton.
The Moon Gate represents cultural heritage, community spirit, and a shared commitment to celebrating Chinese culture in a multicultural society in Edmonton.
The construction of the Moon Gate Wall costs $1 million and the karaoke night has raised approx. $30,000.
